What do you like most about working for Geil Enterprises?
I like working for this company because when they recognize an employee’s hard work, they leave them alone and give them their freedom to do their job.
What is your earliest memory about Geil Enterprises?
When I met John Orta for the first time, he asked who I was and I said that I was the new guard going out to Norby Lumber. His response was, “Thank God.”
What is the funniest or most interesting thing that happened while at work?
I was walking through Norby Lumber one night and I fell into a six foot trench that the company had dug earlier that day.
Who was the most influential person to you at Geil Enterprises?
John Orta was my mentor. He taught me a lot and I owe it to him for helping me become the guard I am today.
Where did you attend High School?
Madera High School and completed my GED in the Army.
What is your most significant accomplishment as an employee?
Teaching and helping new guards and working as a mentor.
Do you have children/grandchildren? If so, how many and what ages/sexes?
I have seven grandchildren. Three girls and four boys ages 2-15.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I have spent these past 20 years in love with my wife and together we have conquered her battle with cancer.
How do you hope to be remembered?
As a man who gave everything to his family and did his best in all situations.
